David, since you seemed to have missed the issue with Fat Princess: what the feminist bloggers are saying is that this game reinforces the stereotype that being fat is bad. The game does make that statement by the very fact that you don't want your princess to get fat since it makes it harder for your team to win. The reason why women in particular are very offended is because of the fact that the game is seen as reinforcing the stereotype that all women should be skinny.
However, I do agree that the developers weren't trying to make a statement for or against fat people. In the context of the game, I think the obese princess makes sense and is pretty funny.
I was looking forward to playing this game, until I found out it's just on PSN and I don't own a PS3. Dammit!
